VirtuaScan Support

3D scanning for iPhone — turn real objects and spaces into 3D models

Frequently asked questions

Which iPhones are supported?

VirtuaScan requires an iPhone with a LiDAR scanner: iPhone 12 Pro or later Pro model (12 Pro, 13 Pro, 14 Pro, 15 Pro, 16 Pro). iPhone SE and non-Pro models are not supported.

Why does my scan look blurry or have holes?

Best results come from: even, diffuse lighting (avoid harsh directional light or shadows); matte, textured surfaces (glossy or transparent objects are hard for photogrammetry); slow, overlapping movement around the object; and at least 100 photos for Object Capture mode.

What formats can I export?

USDZ and OBJ are included free with every scan. FBX export is available as an in-app purchase ($0.99 per export or $2.99/month unlimited). USDZ opens in AR Quick Look; OBJ works in Blender and most 3D software; FBX is compatible with game engines like Unreal and Unity.

How do I restore purchases?

Open the app → tap the gear icon → Restore Purchases. Or contact support and we will help.

Where is my scan data stored?

All scans are stored locally on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded to the cloud except when you request an FBX export, in which case only the USDZ is temporarily sent to our conversion server and deleted immediately after. See our Privacy Policy.
